Five ways to eject a stuck CD or DVD from the optical drive
Ejecting the stuck disc can usually be done in one of the following ways:

1. Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the left mouse button until the disc ejects.
2. Press the Eject button on your keyboard.
3. Click on the Eject button in the menubar.
4. Press COMMAND-E.
5. If none of the above work try this: Open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder. At the prompt enter or paste the following:
/usr/bin/drutil eject
If this fails then try this:
Boot the computer into Single-user Mode. At the prompt enter the same command as used above. To restart the computer enter "reboot" at the prompt without quotes.

No, you don't need to pre-charge the unit, just plug the car charger on it.
Do RESET if the red light stay on and nothing on the screen. You may read below instruction to perform hardware reset.

I also only had the red light. I reset the unit with a paperclip stuck in the small hole labeled Reset. That got it working.

BUT I can't format the SD Card! All it does is cancel out the menue and dumps back to the opening screen.

Remember to press [OK] button after your selection, do following steps may help you.

After powered on the car DVR
1. press the [MENU] button.
2. press [MODE] button.
3. press [DOWN] button to select Format
4. press [OK] button to confirm selection
5. select "Yes" then press [OK] to confirm format
6. after SD car is formatted, press [MENU] button to exit.

I purchased my Road Mate DVR awhile ago. I purchased it for our teen driver, now she's finally driving I installed it in the car and I can not set the time. I followed the instructions in the manual I found online because the mini CD had no files on it as anyone else experienced this problem?

I figured out how to set the time & date...user error Smile

But what about the blank mini CD?

The 7202 manual I recently downloaded indicates there is a "playback "feature in the menu somewhere. I can't find it. Has anyone else located it?

Is there a way to get the recorder to take more than a 2 minute segment?

What does the "10 hour" capability refer to?

By press [MODE] button, until screen upper left shows "◄" symbol, then press [UP] or [DOWN] button to select video and press [OK] button to playback selected video.

To change default 2 min. video segment to 5 or 10 min. segment. Press [MENU] button, then press [DOWN] button to select "Loop Time", press [OK] button to select desired segment then press [OK] button to confirm your selection.

To lower the video resolution will record around 10 hours video, but will not get Full HD and full screen video. If you want to record scenic views, it is not a good idea to record non HD video.

I purchased the 7202 for my upcoming road trip. Been testing it around town. No probs, EXCEPT the default 2minute loop. I followed all the steps, hit 10 minutes, OK, ... Then I put the card in my Mac, it's got a bunch of 2 minute segments. !!
Have gone back to the menu, it shows that the setting is on 10 minute loop.
ARGHHH !!
Any help?....

It seems you did not press [OK] button to save your selection, after you select a 10 minutes interval, need to press [OK] button to save it.

I purchased a GO-RV 890 DVR in March. The link for the owners manual is not working. Also after a week the unit reverted back to the default date. Any idea what maybe the problem?

M128SD. Been using the unit for a couple months. Love the picture quality, the night vision quality is awesome. I do have two issues.

1. I have attempted several times to fix the date/time, but it always reverts back to an incorrect time.

2. I have transferred some of the video files to a laptop for further review, but I need a video player that handles the file format. Is there a way to get the video into a friendlier format?

Thanks in advance Good

I have purchased a Go-RV 890 but instructions are vague in some places. Is there a "how to" video? And, time/date reverts to factory set. Is there a fix?
